Training Aids

TRAINING AIDS

Training aids are available for purchase by schools and instructors. Training aids include standardized lab units for transmission, axle and clutch tutorials. In addition to standard functional and core units, models for most other systems can be ordered.

Functional units have been repaired, spun on a dyno test stand and checked to be fully functional. In addition, they are cleaned, painted and tagged for training use only.
Core units have some minor internal damage from field use, which may include damaged synchronizers or gears. Core units are especially good for assembly and disassembly training because they are true field failures.

Automated Transmission Training Unit
Item Number RRTA-AUTO These transmissions are completely functional. They have been cleaned, painted and the air system and electronics have been checked. Ready for teardown and rebuild. Note: These training aids are tagged and should only be used for training purposes. The internal gearing and bearings are functional, but the units are not intended for road use.

Mechanical Transmission Training Unit
Item Number Performance 13/18:RRTA-PERF Fleet 10: RRTA-FRFL RT 9/10: RRTA-RTFL MD 5/6: RRTA-MED These transmissions are completely functional. Generation 3 Simulator Training Unit
Item Number RRTA-GEN 3 This simulator is ideal for the classroom setting. It can be used to demonstrate system electronics, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and system downloads.

Driveline Angle Analyzer Training Unit
Item Number RRTA-DAS The driveline angle analyzer is ideal for the classroom setting. The size and weight (made of billet aluminum) are perfect for table top demonstrations. The chassis driveline is completely adjustable - allowing for unlimited angularity scenarios.

Drive Axle Training Unit*
Item Number DS404 Forward: RRTA-DSAXL RS404 Rear: RRTA-RSAXL The drive axle training units have been cleaned and painted and are ready for tear-down and rebuild.
