Duration: 3 Days
This course is designed to give a basic understanding of the operation and overhaul of the Fuller FRO-1x210 series of transmissions. This class will also provide a basic understanding of the operation and overhaul of the Fuller FS Series of transmissions.
During the classroom portion, technicians will be exposed to the theory of operation and an in-depth review of the shift control system. Technicians will be instructed on failure
analysis techniques specific to this transmission, which are essential in determining the root cause of failures necessary to establish warrantability.
This section will increase technicians understanding of basic transmission operation, gear life theory, and product lubrication requirements, while also addressing product specific failure modes. Maintenance and basic troubleshooting techniques will be discussed as well.
Upon completion of the classroom presentation, the overhaul portion will continue into a hands-on tear down and reassembly of a Fuller FR/FRO 10-speed fleet transmission and tear down and reassembly of an FS Series 5/6-speed using the correct tools and techniques.
