Duration: 4 hrs.
This course is designed to give a basic understanding of the operation and auxiliary section overhaul of the Fuller FRO-1x210 series of transmissions. This course follows the same format and has similar content as the level 3 training, but is scaled down to meet the targeted time frame.
During the classroom portion, technicians will be exposed to the theory of operation and a basic review of the shift control system. Technicians will be instructed on general failure analysis and troubleshooting techniques specific to this transmission. This section will increase technicians understanding of basic transmission operation, power flow, and key product components. Basic troubleshooting techniques will be discussed as well.
Level 1 Transmission General Maintenance Training is recommended as a pre-requisite to this class as general maintenance practices will only briefly be discussed during this class.
Upon completion of the classroom presentation, the class will continue into a practical hands-on session to include tear down and reassembly of a Fuller FR/FRO 10-speed fleet transmission auxiliary section using the correct tools and techniques. Each technician will be asked to participate individually or in teams in this practical portion of the course.
